Chromebook

To drive awareness and trial of the new Chromebook, Google launched a first of its kind lending program through experiential partnerships with Virgin America airlines and the Ace Hotel. The innovative program placed Chromebooks in the hands of consumers for extended periods of time, when they were in-flight or in their hotel room -- times when they often were in need of a computer and an Internet connection. Travelers who were flying on Virgin America were able borrow a Chromebook to use in-flight, then return it when they landed. Those traveling on other airlines could demo it at kiosks located in the airports. Ace Hotel guests found the Chromebook placed on their bed when they entered their room. The Chromebook was loaded with an app, created in collaboration with the hotel that informed users of things to do and places to visit in NYC.
